Mesmerizing Talent. Irresistible Charisma. Spellbinding Allure.
If "esperanza" is the Spanish word for hope, then bassist, vocalist and composer Esperanza Spalding could not have been given a more fitting name. Blessed with uncanny instrumental chops, a multilingual voice that is part angel and part siren, and a natural beauty that borders on the hypnotic, the 23-year-old prodigy-turned-pro might well be the hope for the future of jazz.
David Letterman recently called her the coolest guest he'd ever had after a recent appearance on his show (click here to see). We invite you to see for yourself this amazingly cool and enormously talent young woman perform in an intimate venue while still on the cusp of great stardom. This special night will start at the Club with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and dinner before being driven to the Jefferson Center for the show. Following the concert, you will be brought back to the Club for coffee, dessert and Porto. For more information on Esperanza Spalding at the Jefferson Center, click here.
